And we should start by learning about alternatives to Uranium driven nukes.

I say, kill two dodo birds with one stone. Close the beltway loop freeway to traffic. Voila, quieter, less carbon emissions, yada yada.

And on that newly vacated and already cleared space, put hundreds of thousands of gigantic windmills, all pointing directly away from Congress.

a standard design (as is used in France) would reduce costs dramatically Bingo. And let's build them in sensible spots...like away from fault lines. They are green considering they do not put carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Consequently, lots of environmentalists are willing to give them a chance.
