That is one weird philosophy-lol.

China will use their secientists as an army. Can't you seee that. We need our own army of scientists.

Are you forgetting the Manhatten project. The technology that allowed the north to beat the south and civlized nations to conquer third world countries and colonize them.

China is hacking into our cybersystem now. We need an orgainzied Department of computer scientists to battle China's and Russia's and India's and Pakistn's computer scientists.

We need biologists to combat pandemics, quantum encryption to protect against China's quantum computers.

And we need an effort organized by government like we did in WWII.

If we only rely on the private sector, without and organized plan, we will end up like Katrina! How would that have worked against Hitler?

Our government beat Hitler.

And we may well lose to China. Sun Tzu would use the scientists-lol.

He's right, Hawk. The more we foster a virtuous partnership between private industry, academia, and government, the better off this country will be. Our government officials simply cannot continue to be so anti-science like Bush was.
