On the topic of "sacred gold" vs "pagan gold" I think Salbuchi might be on to something (unfortunately).

He mentions microchips as a way to differentiate but that makes little sense, since how would the microchip be attached to the gold? If one were serious about this, I think an alloy with a small fraction of a radioactive material would make better sense. You could use say three different radioactive materials in different ratios and basically create a serial number for each gold bar that was intrinsically a part of the bar and could be detected without having to do an assay or anything physical to the bar.
