Yes... first indications on markets today are pretty unchanged.

The S&P gave me a sell signal today; the first in many weeks.

Two quotes on Government and the banks from TSR today:

TSR quote <<Secretary Geithner's comment last week on the health of the banking
system was a hint that the stress test would be bank-friendly,
resulting in a government's Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
That the intention behind this process is benign was confirmed by the
reassuring statement made by the Fed on Friday, which reiterated the
view that most banks are on a solid footing in terms of capital ratios. >>

<<As we discussed yesterday, we think the Fed and Treasury will
maintain a light and friendly parental touch with respect to the
regulation of large banks for as long as possible and the banks will
take advantage of that lenient attitude as long as possible.
>>
**********************************************************
My Comment in which i give but a PART of what i think the motive to use this stress test as a Bogus "let's make people feel confident" vacuous exercise.

Government's purpose, to drive up the market. Why??? Because they are such TERMINALLY DANGEROUS IDIOTS they think a rising market will be good for WS, and what is good for WS is good for the country, along with the rising market makes public to start to feel confident.
That at 950 SPX would likely hit an ALLTIME high , in area of 70-1 P/E(a psychotic level!!), they don't even think about it.

These bureaucrats in the service of the Oligarchs are such utter fools they don't even comprehend the CONSEQUENCES of encouraging this Ultra Dangerous over priced market to keep rising.Max
