Barry: IMO it is a very fine judgement as to whether today is bargain Monday or not. There will be a sharp recovery but will it be later today, tommorrow or next month. Nobody can be sure and the danger is to buy and then find that the market falls another 300 points. Spectacular buying opportunities are emerging but it is sometimes better to err on the side of caution. Pete G

Barry, <<the market has severly underestimated the value/effect of the DEC/INTC settlement>> The majority investors are paying too much attentions on the whole market downside. Only the smart one knows buy the company but not the market. My top wishes for INTEL are : * Early Introduction of 100 Mhz CPU boards. 66 Mhz bandwidth is choking up P II * Faster media for internet such as cable modem and ASDL. Current media stop end users form craving for faster CPUs. * P II prodcution catch up the transition. Cut the price for 300 Mhz P II once Intel can yield 400 Mhz P II. * Window 98 release on time. * Mercede release on time. I believe the HK situation will be restored before China leader leaves US. Also remeber that China is going to sign multi billion purchase in the next two weeks to close the deficit between both countries. This should help industries in addition to Boeing. Long On INTEL. -Henry
