One of the more tremendous mistakes our early leaders made was to identify themselves with a faction. Our Constitution says nothing about political parties, and, despite popular opinion, parties are not needed as a check in government. America's founders expected constitutional provisions such as dual sovereignty, separation of powers, checks and balances incorporated into each branch, as well as indirect election of the president by an electoral college to deter the formation of major parties. Unfortunately in this instance, they didn't do as they preached.

Morning Kenneth....How embarrassed are you by Air Force One buzzing NYC yesterday? Had this happened last year, your side's reaction would have looked like a pooh flinging riot in the monkey cage at the zoo.....change indeed.

I can't remember a more boneheaded and insensitive move....trumps Algore's water flushing photo op by miles.

Piffle, Kenneth. Are you one of those people who think that others owe you a living? If so, perhaps you should read Clarence Thomas's book "My Grandfathers Son"....

It is excellent! He lived in hard times, and was definitely poor in material goods growing up. BUT he had Grandparents, who were equally poor, but had a GREAT attitude and only expected people to do their best.

The Old Story is True Today: "God helps those who help them selves."

And that doesn't mean....help themselves to someone elses' hard work and material goods.

Democrats seem to thrive on that belief system, and try to further it every chance they get.
