In its follow-up of April 3, our military sources reported that US defense secretary Robert Gates, Chief of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen and transport command chief Gen. Duncan J. McNabb, have laid before the president a detailed plan, which had been cleared in back-door meetings between US and Iranian officers.

There is that old geography thingee again.

asking Tehran to permit the passage to Afghanistan of fresh US troops, weapons and supplies across Iranian territory.

While we are at it, why don't we transport the fuses for their Nukes?

>>>>>Even Tzipi Livni at the helm in Jerusalem would not divert Obama from his détente with Ahmadinejad, Assad and Chavez. <<<<<

>>>>>Even if every single settlement were to be removed and Israel lined up with Obama's quest for a Palestinian state alongside Israel, the US president would not drop Tehran or help Israel strike Iran's nuclear facilities. He has already ceded Tehran's uranium enrichment program (and therefore its drive for nuclear arms), and would forcefully oppose any Israeli military action. US defense secretary Robert Gates indicated as much this week when he went to almost absurd lengths to play down the Iranian nuclear threat and Israel's ability to handle it.<<<<<

On so many levels, those articles are so ...well....stunning. Just look at the above sentences....they nearly take my breath away.

What will Obama do when one or all three, work some kind of deal with NK, get nukes, and bomb Israel?

Nadine, the US-troops-to-Afghanistan-via-Iran story is Debka at its worst. One of many inaccurate Debka stories.

There is no way.

I don't think we have diplo relations with Iran.
