who was the nutty dr. on SI who was predicting the end of the world with bird flu? Guy used to regularly get pissed at me for not buying into his apocalyptic predictions.

The first swine flu deaths in the US:

"California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency Tuesday as the Los Angeles County coroner investigated two possible swine flu deaths."

It turns out the two guys died but not from swine flu.
