Don't you think that leading wisely will require that you don't try to take the temperature of the average American and jump in front of him? The average American was all for the war in Iraq, all for the policy of "with us or against us," all for "dead or alive," all for the idea that we'd kill all the insurgents and never have to deal with them...and all wrong. When Obama is through the average American will hopefully be a lot better educated to what can happen if true wisdom replaces shallow, cheer leader, knee jerk, thinking. You might even find that many of your fears and loathings are misplaced. Ed
