I liked that article from Orson. Thx for posting. He's absolutely correct. Having said that, I do believe Obama is not trying to put scientists on the government payroll, but is doing his best to reinvest in science and tech for the good of this country. He rightfully recognizes the need for reinvestment in a big way in this area.
