IMO if you have a Democracy or Republic not completely controlled by the elite, you will be waining between complete capitalism and socialism, without ever becoming completely socialistic or capitialistic. To become completly either way would require a totalitiarian government.

You're pulling my leg. Do you think there is a meaningful difference between a Federal Republic and a Democracy? Unnoticed evolution (transformation) of political systems was and remains my point. A similar transformation, albeit slower, was seen during the Roman Rise and decline. In the 20th. century I might note Germany's evolution into National Socialism under their "benevolent dictator." What more can be said?

Semantically and philosophically there are differences between various political and economic systems. Assumption of philosophical pre-suppositions is one key to illogical justification and is a goal of subtle propaganda methodology.

I suspect this is getting way too off track and entering tall-grass territory. Sorry for causing any confusion. :^)
