I sent that piece to Heinz. Here's his reply: i don't think there are any secret plans...Obama is an establishment figure like every US president is. you only have to check the degree of 'change' so far instituted. the only change i can detect is that the budget deficit will soar to even greater heights than previously suspected. in all other respects the transition from Bush to Obama has been perfectly seamless. sorry, i forgot - another difference, the presidential speechifying isn't as funny anymore as it was under Bush (that guy had me in stitches every time).
