yes... I'm just saying we are going to take our lumps for our reckless financial chicanery. There will be no rabbit-out-of-a-hat which will work to perpetuate the confidence game, e.g. a gov't announced valuation for some arbitrary thing.

Either we reset and start over, via a new currency, back (fully or partially) by something tangible, or some conbination.

But whatever happens, the confidence game will be over at some point, perhaps with many currencies simultaneously.

Sure, they may tie the new dollar to something other than pure gold, but whatever it is, it will likely effect a severe devaluation in the dollar.

Perhaps we are talking about the same thing, for we are approaching the damned if you do, damned if you don't point.
