I think oil is going up regardless of depression since we hit peak oil....you may be seeing some of that now. Then again....the dollar is trashed today. When the dollar does eventually crash....oil will skyrocket IMO.

I still say we're heading for inflationary depression....maybe it won't happen for a while yet....but you can't keep printing money backed by nothing.
