Lithium is also good for combating manic-depressive illnesses. Maybe when we are finished rebooting after the crash of 2008-2012, we will get rid of the FED and force bank and all CEOs to have a little lithium with every meal to more effectively counter the business cycle. I would like to boil Greenspan down right now to see if there is an iota of that element running around in his system.

I saw a program on TV that one of those high altitude South American countries - Chile? - has these huge slat flats which represent the world's largest lithium source.

More put-call musings:

The put-call actually stayed high - barely budged - through the entire first YEAR of the bull that started in 2002:




The put-call seems to drop like a rock when the rally is obvious - late in the cycle. So, are we early or late in this "cyclical bull"?
