Re: Without people - If I were to ask some of my paranoid aluminum hat wearing friends, they would say that "Without People" was part of a psychological warfare exercise to get the populace used to the idea of mass human deaths.

If I were to look at it from a marketing view, it's like you walk into an auto dealer's showroom and the first thing they want to talk to you about is a super giant SUV, like a Ford Excursion or the Cadillac Escalade ESV. After looking at these extreme end points, a cross over size SUV seems very reasonable, instead of a 2 door coupe.

So after looking at a world of NO PEOPLE, a world without -

Wall Street Bankers
Street Mimes
Gypsies
Cigarette Smokers
Scandanavians
Sex Offenders

etc. seems more reasonable...

The "no people" idea has been kicking around the fringes of the environmental movement for a number of years - as an idea of zero people, maybe 10 million total human population, or the almost reasonable seeming 1 Billion humans maximum.

With close to 7 Billion people today, any of those outcomes would take some very bad events to reach.

The aluminum foil hat people would say this is early propaganda for mass killings.

Other people would say it is just a TV program on networks that have run out of program ideas about killer sharks and volcanos.

P.S. Did I mention that the Cadillac Escalade ESV comes with it's own zip code, and we can finance you at 2.9% ?

Well, you gotta turn yer mind off, like with the best worst horror movies. Seeing Wrigley Field strangled by its own outfield wall ivy is pretty damn delicious! And next week they discuss Washington, can't wait to see the walls of Clowngress come tumbling down!
