ABC, agreed. Just frustrated. Actualy got my wife to start nibbling
on mutual funds. She just won't do it big time.

I know the idea "when blood is everywhere, it's time to buy".

I would like to load up on 'txn, bay, intc,ko,hd,sunw, klic', preferably
beaten down brand names.

I thought the lesson of 1987 was that when markets get really
high, it is possible for short term traders to make a lot of money
by shorting them. The other lesson was that the day traders
can get totally creamed in just one or two days.

Another lesson was that if you sell before the blood is in the
streets, you can buy back more shares later.

ABC:

After the crash of 1987 i thought it took almost 18 months to get back
where it was on that black day. Could you clarify your statement of 6
months.

Regards,

ABC,

No, I'm not 100% in TI stock, but I've been picking up shares here and there over the last few market days. My TI stock is now probably 35% of my total portfolio up from about 25% a week ago. It's hard to resist buying at this level. I'm confident that it will outperform the market over the next couple years. With a little luck we could be looking at 75 to 100% return in the next year.

The lesson I learned in 1995 was not to jump in too quickly with all of my assets. So I'm trying to be prudent and buy smaller chunks as
the stock price declines.
