But GWB never produced deficits like these in the first place.

What a crock. You're willing to totally overlook $10T in deficits (versus GWB's half that). What makes you think he is going to "back down" when he has nobody to stop him, anyway?

Not a remarkable observation given that the Obama administration is as thin-skinned as the Bush administration was thick-headed.

Like I said, the previous economic expansion was dependent on increasing amounts of debt, and there has been no effort on the part of Obama to change that. Instead he's just following the path of least resistance.
