TJ, the sin was China's; invading Japan, confiscating it and displacing the local yokels. Don't whine about a few of them going home to re-establish rule of the Motherland - that's karma. mathildasanthropologyblog.wordpress.com

The sun is not setting in Japan, it's rising! Even with exports way down and many able to rest on the oars a little, the production is still much higher than that of NZ, Zimbabwe, England and Hong Kong.

They have 100mbps fibre strung around like cobwebs, they have Wi-Fi by Livedoor inside the Yamanote line. Akihabara is festooned with cyberspace devices. Shinkansen swoop around the country. There are spare airports. There are motorways all over the place.
