It's still running surpluses, and will for several years. It's got a huge pile of IOU's to draw on after that. It was designed to be flexible and modifiable to meet demographic challenges. More Dave asstalk. Sorry pal, you don't get to adopt FDR. All you get are your sorry (R) presidents. You don't get FDR, you don't get Truman, you don't get Kennedy. It's a sign of how badly the (R) team sucks that they want to co-opt (D) presidents.
