The Cuban missle crises got real close to a full blown nuclear war with Russia. In fact if we had bombed Russia in Cuba (which Curtis Le may wanted to do and Kennedy stopped it), or if Cuba had not backed down during the embargo we would have most likey had a nuclear war.

I remember when it happened and it was very freightening.

Statisticians will tell you that it is a statistical certainty that if we continue to have the ability to destroy ourselves, sooner or later we will use do so.

Obama he has already started working with Medvedev to reduce further the amoont of missles we and Russia have. But we have to get rid of all of them.

I am hoping Russia, China and the US will get rid of all of them and then not allow any other countries to have them. They all have to go.

The doldrums and wind circulation patterens would only slow down the radiation in a full blown nuclear war. Already asked my SIN that quesiton. Almost everyone dies if it happens.
