It's much easier to be wise after the event and like Condoleezza Rice say "Nobody could have expected air liners to crash into the Twin Towers" even though they had previously been attacked, other major attacks were regular and Osama and co could obviously think of it as a possibility. Air crew couldn't even figure out that open cockpit doors invited insurrectionists to step right through and I was acutely aware of that possibility when traveling over the USA once, directly behind the open cockpit door and thought it ridiculous that I could just stand up, step forward and get control of the aircraft.

I considered mentioning that it was a hazard to the air crew when they came by but decided to keep quiet because they are so authoritarian and retarded that they would presume, especially with my foreign accent, that I was making a threat and have me trussed up like a turkey and handed over to walling, face-slapping and water-boarding processes to find out who my accomplices were. I'd have given them huge lists of everyone I could think of and ask if they had any more names I could use.

Nobody could have predicted the housing crash, though it seemed really obvious to me. Not to mention a lot of others.
