I think AIPAC will try to manipulate whoever is running things here for the sake of Israel. It's their mission statement. Right now, that isn't the (R)'s. I doubt the (R)'s are getting much attention at all from AIPAC at the moment. From what I've read, lobbyists with (R) connections are collecting pink slips all over Washington. I'm sure AIPAC is focused like a laser beam on suborning and tooling Obama's tribe members, which are many, starting with Rahm Emmanuel. As for Obama himself, being a very practical guy, I think he will try to use Israel to leverage his agendas, where ever possible. Eventually, he'll get around to attempting to solve the Israeli/Pal tar baby. That's isn't soluable without getting Israel to dismantle settlements and give up it's general thuggishness. At the moment, Obama has much larger fish to fry, and the whole can of worms is Hillary's to play with.
