Interestingly, every conservative I know of feels precisely the same way. In fact, the only person I ever heard disparage Obama for his race was a flaming, union-card carrying liberal. The ONLY one.

Jlallen, > Your statement regarding (R)'s and (I)'s who would have voted in greater number for BHO if he was white is yet another sweeping generalization, a technique used by you in many of your sillier posts...and it is just another confirmation of your stunning ignorance.

Exactly, but Ted will never give up his race card.

However, for the country as a whole, we have certainly come a LONG way in race relations as is no more neatly summed up than by BHO's election itself.

Maybe so......but we have a long way to go.

his election is something for all US citizens to be proud of.

There are more than a few who would not agree with you. In northern Idaho, the Aryan Nation, after a decade of quiet, are regrouping. On business boards, I see references to Obama, the monkey, references to his Muslim connections, and stuff like this:

It was one of many racist displays at the teabag parties. Has this country made progress....sure. But this is not the time to feel too much pride.....not with posters like the one above in public display.

Where do you stand with regard to the statements of the national Republican leader, Rush Limbaugh??
