That isn't true. People were upset by what was presented to the public from Abu Graib Prison because it was obscenely cruel, it could easily be exploited and used against innocent Americans. The inference could be drawn that there is something inherently American about that conduct which is insulting and harmful to our psyche, or that there is something ingrained in the military policy and operations that implicates the entire force from the president on down. They were upset because the trust and integrity of our intelligence agencies was compromised, which would make them less effective in the future.

You and others from within our midst exploited it that way, why wouldn't our enemies. They would and did.

It's just like when the original photos first came out. Remember? The right wingnuts were outraged, not at what was clearly shown to be going on in the photographs, but that the photographs had been made PUBLIC.

Exactly. They didn't want their fantasies exposed to the world.
