Want to know why the government is REALLY concerned about the Swine Flu? It's not because they are concerned about our health. The government needs every taxpaying sucker they can get to help bail out Wall Street and the banks. If 20-30 million taxpayers die, that would be disastrous for their pork laden programs and for the banks. Ever try to get a dead person to pay their taxes or make their loan payments?

There has been considerable preparation for pandemic flu by the US and other governments, including the previous administration.

Lots of CDC expenditure, work at Fort Dietrick, NIH, etc. ever since SARS.
