please define "health care," because you obviously don't believe it has anything to with the health of the people that actually get it.

Excellent health care cannot solve the problem of the greatest number of per-capita fast-food joints, nor can it reduce the number of miles driven per year (and thus the number of accidents) -- or the incidence of use of alcohol while driving.

americans are incredibly unhealthy. our level of health per dollar spent ratio has to be in the lowest 25% of the first world countries.

The problem, of course, is that a person's "health" is a function, not solely of the health care system, but of what else you do with your life. What you eat. Where and how you work. Do you exercise. Do you smoke. Do you drink heavily or use drugs. Do you drive drunk.

It takes a whole lot of medicine to overcome the lifestyles of a typical American.
