What you describe feeling about pro sports is the way I feel about American Idol and any other so-called "reality" TV, and it has nothing to do with the economy or anything else going on in life. I find it all to be phony and shallow beyond description. I've accepted being in the minority on this one because, well, I guess I'm in the minority on this one. <G>

Boys who played sports when young have a hard time shaking the interest in later years. I stand guilty as charged. I'll admit, though, that the money and the steroids have diminished my interest somewhat because they've turned it all into something closer to American Idol. Ironic, isn't it?
