I see your point...highest court in the land so it's really silly to expect more than a basic grasp of the law. So let's strive to get an openly gay appointee, or maybe a repeat offending ex-con with plenty of experience from the other side, or better yet maybe someone that has competed in the special olympics....we need to be more inclusive and far less selective in picking that group of nine. Strick standards are for the heartless.

Yes Kenneth it is not required to have a law degree for appointment. Everybody knows that. It is obvious you weren't aware that she had no degree before you posted. In your time it was not uncommon to see an appointment to a minor judiciary who wasn't an attorney. However, in your time Jet airplanes were a rarity.
