The disinformation war is blasting away. Our local Blue Cross CEO is all over the local media bragging about how BC offers affordable plans for the unemployed, self-employed and otherwise uninsured. Only when you look carefully at the plans do you realize that the deductibles, copays and lack of prescription coverage make this "insurance" a joke. With those plans, one short illness requiring a short hospital stay could cost $10 grand, in addition to the $4,800 annual premium.
