Ask surgeons in India, South Africa, Costa Rica, etc. The USA medical field is not immune.

I deal with a lot of physician providers who come here from other countries. I don't see them charging any less money that American providers.

There are not a lot of people on earth who can go in and stop your heart, splay it open and replace a valve or whatever. If you want to have people around who can do this stuff, you have to be willing to pay them what they charge.
