Watching CNBC this morning it is obvious that there is a lot of big (formerly smart?) money trapped in the markets that wants out. It's all about "this is a great time to buy" and "things may not get better right away but long term everything will be fine" after the recent sharp rally on awful economic data.

It is probably true that things will eventually get better, just as it's true we will all eventually die.
