First off, the Martha Stewart or Harry Potter story is torture acording to the liberal definition. It still caused them emotional and psychic discomfort. Not only because of the material but because it was read by a female infidel. Second, the article you supplied didn't indicate "that more info was obtained without torture than with it". It made no claims of extracting any information via Harry Potter or Martha Stewart. It certainly wouldn't gotten Abu Zubaydah to give up information leading to the capture of KSM or have gotten KSM to give information leading to the rollup of the far eastern cell tasked to attack LA.
