As John just pointed out, the choice of Sessions doens't indicate much recognition that the hard core base is ready to concede ground. And it indicates they are going to oppose Obama on his nominations. If Obama goes somewhat moderate in these and they fight it, it will backfire on them. imo. Reinforce the 'party of no' image they need to shed. As for the clubhouses, I just know when I got the post last night with the unnecessary insult on pfp, it made me realize how prevalent that tone was. This is fun? Being rude to someone? Why? I don't even KNOW the person nor him me, but the cheap hit was then recommended by several. Does it make someone feel superior? Fulfilled? It baffles me. I am not a political animal. I care about the world, and try to keep up because we all should, but mostly I enjoy people and watching the way their minds work, and exploring the ideas behind the opinions. I don't want to be nasty to someone because they think differently, or to be ridiculed because I do, which is why Center is the best of the political threads imo, even for this moderate.
