Hank, I do not beleive that we are in a bear market yet.

If we break 7050 tomorrow, we will be.

Roger, that is a revision of my previous bottom estimate. I hadn't expected it to happen quite this quickly, so I was projecting a few days ahead on the regression line.

For today/tomorrow, the bottom of the regression channel is around 7050. Obviously we broke the 200ma today, which was my other possible bounce point.

I will be scouring my charts tonight to find individual charts of stocks that have broken their 50-day ma and are maybe 1/2 way toward the 200ma. I beleive that most of these stocks will drop to and probably break their 200ma's.

Hank, Jon, Roger: rebound possibility- I expect today's drop to affect overseas markets negatively tomorrow. There is no psychological reason for a rebound with the enormous negative breadth of today's action. That, combined with the pent up selling pressure from the early circuit breaker close leads me to believe we will see another 300 point drop in the Dow early on tomorrow. I'm interested in hearing about Jon's technically weak stocks. If one can short tomorrow it seems to be a no-brainer.

Best Wishes,

Timoteo
