Even though the Obama policy is misguided, I had much rather have Gates in that office today, providing lip service to the policies, than I would some extremist liberal who sees the world totally through Obama's eyes. In the end Gates will do what he believes is the best thing. And if a time comes when Gates is being pushed too far, he has sufficient integrity to hand the keys over and get the hell out.
