Futurism is very fascinating to me. Nader would make a cruddy president but he makes sure he raises the level of concern for third party issues that would otherwise never be discussed at that level. Some of these turn out to be major in the future. It is important to raise the level of concern for those issues, even if their champion has no chance to run the country. If I thought he would win, I would never vote for him ... it's a protest vote. There were lots of third party candidates I could have picked. Ralph Nader has been around forever.

My kids are a mixed political batch. When they start yelling at each other about how awful their choices are, it makes them laugh when I declare, 'That does it, I'm voting for Ralph again.'
