Good God ALmighty.

Oh goodness, I guess I need a break huh? Sorry - my comment was strictly aimed at the one sentence I quoted. I disagree completely with the following statement you made; ...WIth that in mind however, Krugman still is light education years ahead of probably everyone on SI in his understanding of economic principles

Let me explain; We are extremely fortunate to have the Mish thread here on SI. In my mind Mish is light years ahead of Krugman as he understands history. AS a scholar of the Austrian School he pounded the table of the worry that deflation was coming and that the housing collapse would send us into a economic tailspin. He did this when the rest of the world was bowing down to Greenspan. IOW, he made these predictions when it was NOT a popular prediction. Mish and Krugman couldn't be further apart.

But having said all this I should have said "Others might be willing to take that chance, not me." Instead I said "you" and for that I am sorry.
