The theorists would largely be left on the side of the road if he succeeds. It will be interesting to watch. Unlikely to happen. I know Obama has tried to, at least during his campaign, surround himself with behavioral economists. But, in most respects, that's simply a different theory, school of thought. And Summers nor Volcker are subscribers to that. I suspect we are all in the grips of Keynesian economics right now with a policy tweak called behavioral economics.
