Things were so bad that some countries moved Capemax ships based on barter, something that hasn't happened in centuries. ---------------- So, you will agree that there are alternative means of dealing with international trade? "Maybe not so convenient and fungible as money transferred via bank, but it works and has for thousands of years." So, you think barter would be feasible? ... ... I don't know what to say. Either you have zero knowledge of how this would work, or you have an extremely simplistic view of the world. Suffice it to say, you aren't going to be able to run a complex web of trade on barter.
