Incredible , isn't it Dizzy! I heard him say that on the tube and I just thought...how can that work? He is actually confiscating the rights and fortunes of the creditors as established by law.

I understand he is attempting this for the benefit of the union. He said he "stands" with them. However, is he just doing that, knowing the court can't accept it? After all what is his function and authority as the President of the US to announce a bankruptcy. I am sure the company had to make application, but the court cannot and should not take dictates from someone acting outside their authority.

If courts become water boys for the president we have lost the separation of powers.

I do believe he thinks he is king!

ah..I see what he did. majority debt holders! LOL JPM Chase and Chrysler became the majority debt holder. Was the purchase of that debt done with the TARP money from JPM and the Government Loans to Chrysler? Them is the danger now in which he has placed the banks. He won't allow them to pay back the TARP funds and if problems arise, the same will be done to them. Scary stuff.

I will be checking back. Gonna make a carrot cake! Chef TG

Isn't this guy the one who cites we live under rule of law. He seems to be attempting to chang that to law of rule.
