There is nothing else you CAN do. If collateral values drop, the problem persists. If not, it won't be a problem. Naive. The adults are in charge. They are trying, desperately, to glide this thing to a soft landing. So far so good, they have saved us from calamity. We are approaching a hard part (like I said probably this fall), to start cutting the supports without killing the recovery. It's art not science. They have managed this crisis like a glider pilot in a hurricane... soon they will have to land the glider. It will be interesting. Hopefully nothing critical happens in the world in the meantime. A geopolitical crisis and we're screwed. I have confidence in these guys, as do most Americans, but it's a hell of a sensitive dance. God bless Obama.
