Here's how generous I am. I would be in favor of using taxpayers dollars to pay for a program to rehabilitate ex-congressmen and Senators to prepare them for life out of office. You know, reintegrate them into the real world. Teach them a marketable skill. Would reduce the instances of recidivism.
