This happens anytime one party gets in power. Everyone thinks the other side is dead. I remember thinking the Dems were dead on multiple occasions.

My only concern is that the number of young, ignorant voters who got pulled into the process this time. It may take quite a while before they realize that a politician saying something and doing it are two different things.

That said, closing GITMO then bailing, not raising taxes then raising them, that sort of thing -- will make believers out of the 20-somethings pretty quickly.

If Bush's presidency hadn't been such a total failure, HE'd be the leader of the party, instead of "he who must not be referenced".

"There are some smart people that I would like to see rise in the GOP leadership, but why they aren't is beyond me."

But, are they "Rush approved?"
