I love her (Ayn Rand) I really do -- it gives me a reason to feel good about the smug sense of superiority I have been blessed with. I read her books with great pleasure as a youth -- we should all feel that thrilling sensation of self centered pleasure -- of being the center of the universe -- struggling against the weight of a world populated by people who can only feel good about themselves when they find some way to deny and obstruct my greatness. We waste far too much time giving a damn about other people -- especially the little people who in a perfect world wouldn't exist at all. I am in love with Ayn Rand. She idolizes me in a world that might otherwise think that I am just a bit too self absorbed and immature to appreciate the worth and value of other people. She makes a virtue of my ability to ignore them -- indeed to despise them for getting in my way and deny me my rightful place in the world as a better man than they. I am in love with Ayn Rand.
