JLA has said only a partisan hack would claim there was a recession if there were not two consecutive quarters of negative gdp growth: Message 25218222 However, if one is not a partisan hack, then you would acknowledge that the criteria for determining when an economy is in recession has not been met...i.e., two consecutive quarters of negative growth..... We didn't have two consecutive quarters of negative gdp growth in 2001 but JLA talks about that being a recession. That makes JLA, by his own definition, a partisan hack. Now we all know he's one of the biggest partisan hacks out there, but it's nice to hear him say it in his own words... SD
