How about an exercise in futility?

Despite X amount of years of maiming and killing each other and destroying the only planet possible for humanity to survive on we float the dream and educate our children to believe we are evolving into a "higher" state?

Then, just for fun, when our kids turn 18 we send them off to eradicate another populace just because...well, just because we can.

Did you write that yourself ?
Your logic is exquisite.
You have destroyed my god.
I no longer believe in that god.
I believe in your enlightenment.
You are now my god.
Tell me what to do.

That is one of the more interesting things I have read lately.

It makes it's point well.

The thing that it appears the author is in denial about is that it is pretty difficult to find someone in this world who is not guilty of belief. He even appears to identify himself as an atheist which is an identity based on belief. For all the rhetoric about critical thinking, he fits his own description of one who is able to apply critical thinking to every other belief except his own.

Until I can cause a blade of grass to spontaneously sprout into existence I will suspend my disbelief.
