I can't see past tomorrow much less 5-10 years. However I've been in a protracted bear market 73-80. Also, after the 29 crash you had a global depression in most places (France actually did OK in the 30's), in which the US didn't come out of until WWII. IF governments in the world do the wrong things, you could easily not see that new amount available. Then again I don't see that far ahead. Nothing in life is a given and things transpire that we don't know what the consequences are. I don't see this "decline" going much further , as Greenspan will cut rates and add liquidity to the banking system. Then you'll see a very powerful day to the upside (by Wednesday). After that, its anybodies guess. That's what makes a market, I suppose.
