TJ, would you please stop agreeing with me.

Note the very idea has become reasonable to Kyros and therefore to umpty millions of others which suggests that the prospect is in the offing.

"Hey, to Hell with all those foreigners. Let's pull up the drawbridge and go it alone. Like Albania, North Korea, Zimbabwe ... hmmm... no wait, like Mao's China, yeah that's a big country like us.... no wait, that didn't make China rich... well to Hell with them anyway. We are superior and can easily go it alone. Look how much land, resources, technology, and talented people we have."

There are still prospects for large scale financial relativity theory carnage. But at least the banks have passed the stress tests with flying colours so they are no longer a worry and can easily meet their obligations. We can wait and watch and see if that works out to be true ... I am not betting on that outcome.
