sorry, another OT post

>> .the religious folks just place the empaphasis on life after death rather than on life in this world...(strange) <<

religious is an overloaded term with many meanings depending on ones background --

in the Biblical teachings there is a concurrent emphasis on the immediate and the eternal -- they are very much coincident in this world

e.g. those saved are saved now -- those regenerate are regenerate NOW --

God's name given to Moses, also taken by Christ -- I AM -- the eternally existent, ever-present One --

obviously there are things that are Not Yet as well -- evil has not been vanquished forever -- i.e. I don't think living ONLY for heaven is necessarily consistent with the Bible, because what we do now determines what we are becoming??

Nonetheless, hope (assurance of) future and final victory is important and transformative in and of itself ...

Does that sound muddled?
